Shopping in Murcia

Those looking for a complete shopping experience will be tempted a little further afield. Los Alcazares and San Javier are about twenty minutes north on the inland shore of the Mar Menor, and in Los Alcazares the Oasis center and Avenida Rio nalon are complete with a large number of stores.

Weekly market days are Tuesdays in Los Alcazares and Los Belones, Thursdays in San Javier and Sundays in Cabo de Palos.

The nearest major shopping complex is the Parque Mediterraneo in the eastern suburb of Cartagena, just a twenty-minute drive away. Those who enjoy shopping in a more traditional setting can also visit Cartagena's old town, where the pedestrian streets are full of colorful small stores.

A little further away (40 minutes by car) is the regional capital of Murcia, outside the center to the north are the city's two major out-of-town shopping centers. Thader and Nueva Condomina Those who love clothing stores will be in seventh heaven here.
